We went to the Brucemore Mansion in Cedar Rapids for an art show. We stopped at an area to get some pictures made and here they are!

Jason and Kristen's IA arrival

Kristen and Jason made the long trip to Iowa in August for a little visit and vacation. They arrived on August 21. At this point we had told no one about our pregnancy except for a few people at work because I couldn't hold it in and I couldn't lie! Below are some pictures of me opening birthday gifts that they had brought up to us.

This is a picture of the cake that Trenton and I got for Kristen and Jason congratulating them on becoming a Mommy and Daddy!

After the cake we told them we had presents for them to open so they came and sat down and you will see the rest for yourself!

Here are a few pics of Jez being Jez and there are a few of Guardian with grass. We bought this kit from the store to grow grass because this summer Guardian has become obsessed with sneaking outside and gnawing on the grass! He loved it!

Birthday Time!

My 23rd Birthday was August 16, 2009. Trenton snuck home a red velvet cake and we went out to eat with his parents. In the pictures below it looks like I am fixing my own cake, however, he brought it to me and I was setting it down on the stove :)

Emilly's Bachelorette Party

We decided to get a group of the girls together from work to have a girl's night out! We went out to dinner at Oyama's in Cedar Rapids. Some of the girls then went out later for a bit of a longer night.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

On Monday August 3, 2009 Trenton and I found out that we are expecting our own Bundle of Joy! We weren't necessarily trying, but we weren't preventing anything. We decided back in April to put it all in God's hands. After many negative pregnancy tests at the end of July on Sunday August 2 Trenton had to see for himself that the test was negative. So we did a test and a second line hardly visible appeared. I, for my own sanity, had to have a complete yes or no. Just a line that you could hardly see was not going to do it for me! So we bought a digital pregnancy test on Monday and it came back with a YES! Shocked--yes! Thrilled--out of our minds! Here are a few pics of everything. You will see another pregnancy test at the bottom and this was a pregnancy that I did later that week to verify and double check that it would come back positive too! Silly I know! But it did ease my mind when it came back positive like it should have! As many of you know this is a very exciting and overwhelming time for us and part of our family since Kristen and Jason were blessed with the same amazing news in July! It was be such a joy and an amazing journey that I am glad we get to share together! We will keep you updated with pictures and information!
